Yugo originally joined Wall Street Associates in Tokyo in 2001 as a consultant specializing in recruiting for the IT and Internet Industries. In his last position as Director at en world Japan, he oversaw several teams spanning the IT, Internet/Digital Marketing, Semiconductor/Electronics, Consumer Goods, Fashion, ​Finance, Automotive, Manufacturing, and Energy industries.

Originally from the U.S., Yugo graduated with a degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and also studied at the International Christian University (ICU) in Tokyo. He speaks fluent Japanese in addition to his native English tongue.
